Green Cover Campaign

Evolve Eco Crew aims to advocate for climate action and to protect the natural environment from pollution, degradation and ultimate depletion with the target of zero deforestation by 2027. Evolve Eco Crew, together with other environmental stakeholders has been running a campaign for governments to ban exportation and importation of illegal timber, a practice that has been common within East Africa and entirely African countries cross borders.

Climate and Energy

We are passionate with matters climate. It will keep formulating a sustainable development scenario for climate change mitigation. According to the UNEP Kenya the organization played a significant role in raising public awareness of global warming. We have also focused on CFCs, because of both their global warming potential and their effect on the ozone layer. It is one of the leading participants advocating early phase-out of ozone depleting substances in Kenya.

Fundraising Campaigns:

Together with Nairobi Rivers Commission, EEC has formulated a national rivers restoration strategy, where 500 trees are planted along the restored river banks and the informal settlement around these rivers are educated on the importance of keeping our water catchment areas clean.
Using direct action, members of ECC have protested several times against locals and industrial pollution of the Nairobi, Ngong and Mathare rivers. EEC is also critical of cutting down trees for purposes of wood and has used direct action to block operations at the Ngong forest in Kajiado.
